Cover Your Working Area
With Folded Kitchen Paper In Case Of Ink Spillage
- The filling holes are located under the top
of the cartridge which must be removed before filling. The easiest way
is to carefully cut along the seal with a sharp instrument such as a
penknife.
- Alternatively snap the top of the cartridge
off in a vice. This will not permanently damage your cartridge, if the
clear cover located under the cap also comes off do not worry, insert
the needle when refilling into the centre of the foam.
- Assemble the syringe and needle , Pierce the bottle seal and draw
up 10ml of colour ink.
- Using the picture above to ensure the ink is injected into the correct
chamber, insert the needle into the filling hole and push down into
the cartridge.
- Important the cartridge contains
sponge and slight resistance may be felt.
- Slowly fill each chamber with 10ml of the correct colour ink. If
ink appears on top of the sponge stop filling the chamber and slightly
withdraw the syringe plunger. Remove the needle.
- Clean the syringe with water and dry before refilling with another
colour.
- The top of the cartridge can now be refitted and secured with adhesive
tape. You may need to blot the printhead slightly with kitchen paper.
- Put the cartridge back in the printer and operate a cleaning cycle.
- Your cartridge is ready for use.
- Clean the syringe and needle for future use.
