HP Deskjet 660cse Black Ink Cartridge Refill Instructions

Carefully follow the refill instructions below to refill your HP Deskjet 660cse black ink cartridges.

These instructions are based on using a Jettec refill kit with specifically formulated inks suitable for refilling HP Deskjet 660cse black ink cartridges although the principles are the same if you already have a refill kit

Always Cover Your Working Area
With Folded Kitchen Paper In Case Of Ink Spillage

1. Cover the hole ( A ) on the underside of the cartridge with tape before beginning the refilling process.



2. Place the cartridge upright on a thick pile of folded kitchen paper. Using an old ball point pen push the white ball plug located on the top of the cartridge ( C ) inside the cartridge.



3. If there is no white ball plug then using the drill provided carefully drill a hole in the cartridge top at the filling hole ( C ).



4. Leave the cartridge on the folded kitchen towel as the cartridge may now drip a little from the printhead. This is normal and is caused by the loss of air pressure differential.



5. Assemble the blunt needle and syringe, pierce the bottle seal and draw some ink out of the bottle



6. Gently fill the cartridge with ink through the hole ( C ). The Cartridge may continue to drip a little during filling.



7. DO NOT put the needle in the breather hole ( B ), this will permanently damage your cartridge.



8. Once the cartridge is full, the fill hole can now be plugged using one of the red plugs. Important the plug must be airtight, if not the cartridge will leak.



9. Remove the tape from the hole ( A ) underneath and hold upright ( printhead down ). The cartridge will drip from the printhead for a short time blot with folded kitchen towel until the ink stops dripping. The air pressure differential has now been corrected.



10. Clean the syringe and needle for future use.
