HP Designjet 700 Ink Cartridge Refill Instructions

Carefully follow the refill instructions below to refill your HP Designjet 700 ink cartridges.

These instructions are based on using a Jettec refill kit with specifically formulated inks suitable for refilling HP Designjet 700 ink cartridges although the principles are the same if you already have a refill kit

Always Cover Your Working Area
With Folded Kitchen Paper In Case Of Ink Spillage

1. Turn the cartridge upside down. Remove the plastic film that seals the filling hole ( A ) and push the ball bearing into the cartridge using an old ballpoint pen.



2. Important do not damage the hole when pushing the ball bearing into the cartridge. Note the inserted ball bearing will not damage the cartridge.



3. Assemble the syringe and needle , Pierce the bottle seal and draw up some black ink.
   
   
4. Gently fill the cartridge with ink. ( The cartridge must remain upright until instructed ).



5. Once the cartridge is full, the fill hole can now be plugged using one of the red plugs. Important the plug must be airtight if not the cartridge will leak.



6. To pressure balance the cartridge correctly, prepare a thick pile of kitchen paper. Turn the cartridge the right way up and dab off the ink that drips from the printhead. This is normal and will stop quickly when the cartridge has balanced.



7. Once the ink has stopped dripping from the printhead, insert your cartridge back into your printer and operate a cleaning cycle.



8. Important do not leave your cartridge on the absorbent material for an extended period.



9. Your printer driver may display a screen to indicate that the cartridge is still empty, close this screen and continue as normal.



10. Clean the syringe and needle for future use.
