Refill Instructions
Carefully follow the refill instructions below to refill
your Epson C64 black ink cartridges and also to refill your Epson C64
colour ink cartridges.
These instructions are based on using a Jettec refill kit
with specifically formulated inks suitable for refilling Epson C64 ink
cartridges although the principles are the same if you already have a
refill kit

Always Cover Your Working Area
With Folded Kitchen Paper In Case Of Ink Spillage
- Pierce the filling hole through the label with
an old ballpoint pen. ( do not use the needle )
- Assemble the syringe and needle , Pierce the bottle seal. Fill the
syringe with aproximately 5 - 7 ml of ink.
- Insert the syringe needle into the filling hole. The needle will only
enter into the cartridge aproximatley half a centimeter.Slightly angle
the needle to create an air flow.
- Inject very slowly allowing the
ink to flow into the cartridge consistently. Allow the ink to settle
into the cartridge and inject more ink into the filling hole.
- Withdraw the syringe needle and wipe away any excess ink from the
cartridge filling hole.
- Insert one of the blue plugs from the refill kit. This plug is a tight
fit to ensure the cartridge does not leak.
- You will need a chip resetter to reset the chip. A chip resetter ensures
that your printer registers your cartridge as full.
- Install the cartridge and run the cleaning cycle on the printer. The
best print quality will be achieved if the cartridge is left in the
printer 24 hours before use.
- Clean the syringe and needle for future use.
Note: Due
to the complex design you will not be able to completely refill the
cartridge. Therefore it must be removed from the printer before the
status monitor has shown that it is empty, and the above process repeated.
